After Four Weeks

Now your birds should be ready to go outdoors during the day. Keep them in a fenced area with a top on the cage. The birds will still need to be inside at night. If it’s cool or rainy, keep them in that day. Birds cannot stay outside all the time until fully grown, around three and a half months. Switch your birds to layer feed around four months. Hens should begin laying between four and six months. Roosters will be sexually mature at this time also.
